Full Moon in Aries
This full moon is reflecting the light of the Libra Sun. Full Moons in Aries are known to feel inspiring, electric, spicy. They have us feeling experimental, impulsive, risky. However, this Full Moon’s ruler, Mars, is in his sign of detriment, Libra, perhaps dampening our drive a bit and making us a bit more self-conscious and non-confrontational. It’s all about balance. Mars in Libra gives us the grace to have difficult conversations, to advocate for equity in our relationships and in the world around us. Our impulsive desires are reigned in, engendering the patience and discernment to pause, giving us the power to think before taking action and proceed with intention.
Mars in Libra is also approaching the south node of the moon. What are you ready to release? What are you resisting releasing? What obstacles have been showing up, and how have you been reacting to them? Let every dilemma offer an opportunity for you to look around and recognize what in your life may be crying out for a little TLC. Mars in Libra is in aspect to the harmonious, healing trine between Venus and Chiron which was exact on the equinox; the Venus-Chiron trine has us surrendering to the tenderness in our hearts and releasing fear. What was coming up for you this past weekend? What was feeling prickly? Did you let it be, did you ride the waves of emotion, or did you push it away and ignore it? This energy is still lingering in the air, and if you haven’t tended to these wounds, this full moon will continue to push them out into the light, for them to be acknowledged, for the experiences to be digested and alchemized. As Venus finishes up her several month stint in Leo, continue to commit yourself to whole-hearted living - roar loudly, let your metaphorical mane be wild and untamed, and love yourself fiercely. Bringing Mars into the Venus-Chiron mix highlights themes around integrating our inner masculine and feminine so that we may feel more whole and powerful in our own being-ness.
This Aries full moon is calling for you to be brave. To have the courage to be alone and present with yourself. To dig into the well of your being, so that all that is you, your unique essence, can spill out into and nourish the world around you. Who are you? Who do you want to be? This Libra Sun is shining light on this Aries Moon to inspire you to get curious about and acknowledge who you are, to remind you that you deserve to be here, in whatever way feels good. To take up space, or to retreat; to be big if you want to be big, to be small if you need to be small. When we take responsibility for ourselves, for our lives, for our well being, when we truly love ourselves and show that love through the ways we nourish ourselves, the way we eat, sleep, move, think… that peace, stability, and love we cultivate as a result permeates out to others. We show up in our relations with compassion and intentional understanding, not because it is easy, but because we care to put in the effort because we know how hard and necessary it is to advocate for ourselves, for our sovereignty and our mental and physical health.
This full moon is about freedom. Freedom to pave a new way, to begin a new chapter. Freedom to be your own person and permission to want what you want without judgment. Mars in Libra heading towards the point of release, the south node, is calling us to clear people-pleasing behavior. The nodes of the moon are passing through the Aries-Libra axis which is the relationship axis, and they have been squaring Pluto since they transitioned into these signs, creating opportunities and situations for us to practice establishing boundaries where there have been leaks. To reclaim the parts of ourselves we have rejected and abandoned. We know it is time to decompose old societal relationship norms, and we are working to dismantle them, so that we can rebuild sturdy, lasting foundations on mutual respect and trust.
You are so brave for choosing to exist in these times. We are going through an extremely uncomfortable growth period collectively. We are releasing toxic ways of relating, some of us more willingly than others. Many are caught in illusion, in duality, in my side versus your side. Ultimately, we are all one, and we have to shift into love. Fear manifests in many forms, and we have to get really conscious and clever so that we can recognize when we let fear take the wheel - take a pause, breathe in deep, let love fill your being and breathe out as you release the fear. Know that you are worthy, and celebrate the unique humans in your community.
Sending ya’ll so much love! Be brave! Most importantly, have fun! Happy Full Moon!
