New Moon in Gemini
This New Moon in Gemini arrives on June 6, 2024, conjunct Venus, just 2 days after a Jupiter and Mercury conjunction in Gemini, as well as the Venus Star Gate - when Venus and Sun come together in the sky. That being said, we have a large stellium of planets in Gemini, including the ruling planet Mercury, super-charging this New Moon with Gemini energy.
Gemini Stellium square Saturn in Pisces
Gemini is mutable air - it’s fast, adaptable, curious, playful, sociable, and full of ideas to share, but also available to receive ideas in return. Gemini season has us energized after a slow, sensuous start to spring, ramping up into the vitality of summer, when the Sun is at its strongest (in the northern hemisphere at least). Having both benefic planets (Venus and Jupiter) involved in this lunation, with Venus conjunct Moon and Sun, and Jupiter conjunct the ruling planet Mercury, one might feel like it is all systems go. We have all the energy and blessings we need to move forward fast. However, Saturn in Pisces is squaring the New Moon, asking us to remember to take the time, even in brief moments, to check in with our intuition. Gemini energy can have us getting a bit too excited - it’s fool energy (in relation to the tarot) - we want to just dive in, head first, and deal with the consequences later… there’s nothing wrong with exploring life with a little naivete… it’s actually healthy to let loose and let yourself mess up or be wrong. However, we have the opportunity here in this New Moon to play with listening to and strengthening our intuition.
Venus Star Point in Gemini
This New Moon is POTENT… we have so much beneficial energy on our side to manifest what it is we desire, the key here is channeling that Saturn in Pisces energy to be intentional about what it is we want to create. Venus is making a conjunction to the Sun, but she is behind the Sun, and the furthest away from Earth that she gets in her cycle. This Venus Star Point is requiring that we take the time to go inward and consider our motivations, and if they are in alignment with our authentic creative beingness. It’s time to release tendencies and behaviors that are connected to other people’s expectations, or our fear of being seen for who we truly are. Adam Gainsburg has done extensive research on the Venus Star Points, and in his recent transmission of this star point, he asks, “What are you ready to embrace that you are not yet embracing? What beliefs are you ready to let go of that you are still grasping onto?” It could be that we actually consciously know what is not welcome in our space, what is keeping us from being in authentic alignment with who we are, but we are afraid to let it go. We are afraid of being rejected by the world outside of ourselves. As we are in the midpoint of the Leo Venus Star Point cycle, we are at a moment of release, where we must accept ourselves and who we desire to be, and release the masks we are hiding behind.
In reflecting on this Venus Star Point and what is ready to come in, consider the moments in time that are connected to this cycle. As I mentioned, the Venus Star Point in Leo was the “new moon” moment of this cycle, which occurred back in August of 2023 during the Venus retrograde. What seeds were being planted then? In the broader Gemini Star Point cycle, we can think back to June of 2020, when we had the inferior conjunction of Venus and Sun in Gemini (a “new moon” moment in a larger 8 year Venus cycle). We can reflect even further back to June of 2016, when Venus was in the exact same part of the cycle as she is now, in a superior, or external, conjunction with the Sun, in Gemini, at her furthest point from the Sun… how did the energy of that time in your life mirror what is happening now? What is different? How have you grown?
Sending you big blessings this New Moon! Things are looking up… stay in your heart and out of fear. Trust your inner knowing.
Stay kind. Stay weird. Stay curious.
Love love love
