Full Moon in Leo
The Full Moon in Leo demands Joy, Passion, and the Divine Expression of who YOU are. What makes you feel most vital? Tap into the energy of the Sun to access your inner flame, to be reminded of what exists deep within. Recall a time when you felt like every cell in your body was Lit Up, when you were shining your brightest, and there was no space for worry about the future, or dwelling on the past, because you felt like you were exactly where you were supposed to be… How can we express our true nature that wants to be expressed? If you don’t have the opportunity to allow this part of you out on a daily basis, take time at least on this full moon to remember your unique true nature by letting yourself fully embody joy. Delight in who you are because there is no one else exactly like you. Your partner, your friends, your family, your community, they need YOU… YOU need you. How can you show up for yourself more fully so that you can move towards whole-hearted living?
Leo is the Lion, and this Full Moon is calling us to be Courageous. Courage comes from the Latin cor for heart - the origin of the word is defined as "denoting the heart, as the seat of the feelings." Are you living from your Heart? Or are you letting your head rule the way?
We are in an age of air, and so much is changing around us... we are trying to keep up with the rate of evolution that is occurring within our own lives and in the world around us - it is so easy to be in our heads, constantly analyzing, planning, and grasping for control with clenched fists. Loosen the hold you have on life. Drop into your heart space.
We live in a capitalistic society, and as participants in this collective consciousness, our auto-pilot mind assesses all of our passions for their potential to make a profit. Too often we don’t permission ourselves to pursue our passion because it won’t make us money. We run the risk of spiritually bankrupting ourselves when we do not participate in our purpose - creation. What if we worked less so we could have time to pursue our passions even though we know it won’t make us the amount of money to pay rent, our mortgage, for rising food costs… what if we consume less to create more? What if our consumption habits are making us depressed? Are we outputting as much as we are inputting? What is the quality of our output? Of our input? How and/or what are we feeding our heart?
Uranus has been upgrading and radically changing our values since it entered Taurus in 2018. Uranus in Taurus is asking us to change the way we use our money, change the way we collect goods, to get rid of all the bull shit that isn’t actually bringing us pleasure and bring in what does. This Leo Full Moon energy is magnetizing the metaphorical or literal comforts we need to feel safe to live from our heart and express our solar energy (whatever it looks like) in the material world, even if it’s just in the privacy of your own home (hail to the introverts). Uranus may be creating some unexpected plot twists, bringing in new opportunities, people, etc. or taking something away, to course correct us (potentially dramatically) back to whole-hearted living. Practice the art of allowing and release resistance and the illusion of control.
Chiron has been teaching us how to tend our wounds around our sense of self since he entered Aries in 2018. As the Full Moon in Leo trines Chiron, the conditions are ripe for acknowledging and healing any shame, fear, rejection of ourselves that may have been weighing us down and keeping us from living whole-heartedly. Believe in the truth that you are enough, that you deserve unbridled joy and uninhibited creative flow.
Venus' square to Mars yesterday may have created some tension, a reckoning between what we may think we need to control, action we believe we must take, and what evokes pleasure and inspires creative spontaneous expression - I hope you let pleasure win, as that is the medicine we need at this time.
These are uncertain times, and it is completely normal and acceptable to feel fear, anger, grief as we realize that we will never be the person that we were, that our lives don't quite fit the way they did. Those dreams we kept to the side until "one day..." might have to be realized before we feel ready. Challenge the way you have been "doing" life. How can you be in collaboration with Spirit to co-create the life that is aligned with your soul's Divine Original Blueprint? Everyone experiences imposter syndrome, and it’s ok to not have it all figured out. You will always be perfectly imperfect. Just begin.
We cannot ignore the wisdom of the heart. We have to intentionally drop in, as the mind will insist on running the show. Breath deep and keep gently guiding yourself back to your heart. Find a mantra to ground you into that space whenever the mind is taking hold.
